First Teens’ Eloquence Festival
What we have been planning for a long time has come to life – the first English public speaking festival for teenagers. After completing the public speaking course and performing at the Ukrainian-language festival, the scholarship holders were chosen for the next round of selection and enrolled in the English-language course offered by AMES.
Long and laborious preparation for months and that day finally happened. Our teenagers delivered their speeches in English to an audience of over 130 people. It was definitely a challenge, but everyone did a great job. After this experience, we are confident that our teenagers will manage everything! We are amazed at how well each of them covered their topic in such a deep and insightful way. The scholarship holders did not just speak, they took us into the world of their ideas and thoughts, making us think and feel every word.
A big gratitude to our teachers and coaches Olga Kizima and Iryna Kosylo from American English School Stryi for their dedication and commitment in preparing the teens for this event. You were not only mentors for the scholarship holders, but also real guides to a common goal. We really appreciate the energy and excitement with which you conducted each meeting and accompanied them to the performance.
The jury: Lidia Bilas, Galina Kurochka, Kristi Berezianska, Gordiy Ostapovych left wonderful feedback and praise for the scholarship holders and became a real source of inspiration.
The First Teens’ Eloquence Festival has demonstrated that our scholarship holders are ready to speak in public and convey their thoughts across language barriers. So, to be continued.
