The Skole Beskydy hosted the Oleksandr Shelest Trail of the Unconquered training camp. It lasted for a week.”Since 2017, the Path of the Unconquered has been organized by the Youth Nationalist Congress-Lviv, and the Karpinski Foundation has been a partner of the event for 6 years in a row.

The camp aims not only to educate patriotic youth, but also to develop leadership skills in participants, help them to discover their character and capabilities. In order to be ready for the challenges of today, the participants took a course in military training and a 6-hour tactical medicine course. Also, every day they gained new knowledge and tempered their bodies.

“It’s nice to see that every year a lot of desperate people from all over Ukraine gather in the Skole Beskydy to learn how to become the creators of their lives and our victory. Of course, I am especially glad to see the participants from Stryi region and the Foundation’s scholarship holders. With each challenge they change, become stronger and more confident,” said one of the camp organizers, a scholarship holder of the first intake of the My First Scholarship project, Kyryliv Uliana.

A special feature of the training camp in 2023 was the march. Participants covered the route from the camp site while performing socially important tasks. The end point was the place of military glory of the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen, Mount Makivka. Here, the memory of all the heroes of Ukraine was commemorated in the words of a Ukrainian nationalist’s prayer. The campers also signed two Ukrainian flags with best wishes for the soldiers of the 116th Brigade. It was at Makivka that the participants were awarded T-shirts with the slogan: “In fire, iron is melted into steel, in struggle, people turn into a nation,” by Yevhen Konovalets.
