Internet as a necessity

Internet as a necessity

In today’s fast-paced world, access to the internet has become an essential part of daily life. However, not everyone has access to this valuable resource. The Karpinski Foundation recognizes the importance of providing internet access to socially important locations, and in 2019, we collaborated with TeleLan to provide free internet services to several locations in our city.

One of the locations that benefited from this initiative was Library No. 2 on Vyshneva Street. TeleLan provided free internet access to the library, making it a modernized and updated educational institution. The community of Novyi Svit and beyond now have unlimited access to information, which has made the library a popular destination for people seeking new knowledge through traditional methods such as books, as well as new progressive sources.

Another location that received free internet connection and package was the parish of St. Volodymyr and Olga. This has been a boon for the parishioners who can now access the parish’s website and stay up-to-date on the schedule of holidays, services, and even the texts of church songs. The church recognizes the importance of community and the observance of traditions, but they also appreciate good innovations that improve the quality of life. Access to the internet has proved indispensable in catechism lessons for children, as it is now possible to play spiritual films and cartoons for them. The young people in the church are seen with tablets, but they are using them to read the texts and sing along with the choir, rather than spending time on social media.

The Karpinski Foundation is committed to making a positive impact on society by providing support and resources to those who need it most. By providing free internet access to socially important locations, we hope to bridge the digital divide and create a more connected and informed community.
