An innovative bench: a new story

An innovative bench: a new story

The My First Scholarship program has been a game-changer for young and talented students who have been given the chance to make a difference in their community. Thanks to the program, several projects have been initiated, bringing about positive change in their local areas.

Unfortunately, some of the projects have been met with unexpected challenges. One such case is the project of Vitalik Shklyarov, a scholarship holder of the Karpinski Foundation. Vitalik and his team had come up with an innovative idea to install a solar-powered bench equipped with USB ports in the city center. The Foundation supported their idea, and they successfully installed the bench, hoping that it would be well received by the community. However, they faced a setback when the bench was vandalized within a few days of its installation. The USB ports were destroyed, and the bench was covered in scratches and drawings, losing its appeal to the townspeople.

But Vitalik and his team did not give up. With the support of the Foundation, they restored the bench, giving it a second chance to serve its purpose. Now, the bench serves as a comfortable place for the community to rest, relax and recharge their gadgets. It is our hope that the community will respect the hard work of Vitalik and his team and preserve the bench for years to come.

This situation is a reminder that every effort to bring about positive change in our community requires respect and appreciation for the work put in. We must strive to protect and preserve the projects that are designed to improve our everyday lives. The Karpinski Foundation remains committed to supporting and encouraging the initiatives of young and talented students who aspire to make a difference in their community.
