Public speaking: interesting, easy, effective!

Public speaking is a crucial skill in today’s society, and the Karpinski Foundation is proud to have organized a course called “The Art of Public Speaking. Self-presentation. Rhetoric” in collaboration with the SPE Development School.

The course was aimed at improving the ability of the participants to communicate their thoughts effectively to an audience using the techniques and methods of public speaking.

Over the course of three months, from April to June, the participants had the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics related to public speaking, including the composition and structure of an effective speech, verbal improvisation, ways to keep the audience’s attention, and more. The course also covered delicate but no less important topics such as speaking under pressure, public manipulation, and handling questions and provocations from the audience.

The participants learned new techniques for building an effective speech, and they studied facial expressions, gestures, and voice to help them become more skilled in eloquence. In addition, the course helped the participants overcome the fear and anxiety of speaking in public and provided them with tools for self-improvement.

The feedback from the Foundation’s scholarship holders who participated in the course was overwhelmingly positive. Roksoliana Kostetska, for example, is no longer afraid of public speaking and is eager to put her new knowledge into practice. Another participant, Marta Zhemevko, learned more about herself during the course and is committed to continuing her improvement in public speaking.

The Karpinski Foundation and the trainers of the SPE Development School are grateful for the opportunity to inspire and motivate the participants to achieve new heights in public speaking. The Foundation is proud to support young people in their personal and professional development and hopes to continue offering courses like this in the future.
