On top of Mount Pikuy

The Karpinski Foundation is known for its commitment to fostering teamwork and building character in its scholarship holders. One of the Foundation’s great traditions is organizing joint hiking trips in the mountains. These outings provide an opportunity for the students to develop their physical endurance, mental strength, and sense of camaraderie. In the past, the scholarship holders have successfully climbed Hoverla, the highest peak in Ukraine, several times. This summer, the Foundation’s team, accompanied by 12 schoolchildren, embarked on a new challenge – climbing Mount Pikuy.
While the climb was not particularly difficult, it still required concentration and effort. The warm June weather and the company of cheerful and supportive teammates made the hike more enjoyable. As the team reached the summit, they were rewarded with breathtaking views that left them in awe. The sense of accomplishment they felt was immense, knowing that they had pushed themselves beyond their limits and achieved their goal. The hike not only provided a chance for physical and mental growth, but also strengthened the bonds between the scholarship holders. They returned home inspired and motivated to tackle new challenges, equipped with a newfound sense of confidence and determination.
