The Karpinski Foundation congratulated the winners of the My First Scholarship contests, and it was reminded of the inexhaustible talent of young individuals. The Stryi schoolchildren presented innovative and creative ideas, such as organizing a bookcrossing, equipping public transport stops, holding a nativity scene competition, and starting a school radio studio, among others. The scholarship recipients devoted their efforts to the implementation of these ideas that will benefit the community.
The scholarship awarding ceremony was held in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It was graced by numerous guests, including Fathers Myron Hrynyshyn, Ivan Barabash, and Pavlo Hud, as well as businessman Mykola Kmit and Vice-Rector of UCU Ihor Skochylias. The scholarship recipients were inspired to continue working on their projects by the presence of these distinguished guests.
During the ceremony, members of the Karpinski family delivered inspiring speeches expressing their support and confidence in the future achievements of the scholarship recipients. The permanent host Nazar Biychuk, who shared funny jokes and inspirational conversations, created a positive atmosphere. Guests had the opportunity to learn about the winners’ projects and to share their own ideas and advice. The Foundation’s scholarship holders welcomed new friends, shared their experiences, and wished them inspiration for their work. Parents and teachers of the winners were also present at the ceremony to celebrate with their beloved students.
The autumn award ceremony included an oratorical battle between scholarship winners from previous years. The students prepared two-minute speeches for a month on the topic, “My life is my choice and my responsibility. I choose myself.” The jury, consisting of Roman Kushnir, Serhiy Trukhimovych, and coaches from the SPE Development School, selected the winner – Kateryna Korpalo, a scholarship holder from the second intake. She received a standing ovation and a gift from the Karpinski Foundation.
The scholarship recipients were ecstatic about the celebration, stating that “everything was just incredible! We felt like stars of Hollywood movies!” They expressed their gratitude for the organization of such wonderful ceremonies and promised to prove that they deserved to become a part of the friendly and hardworking family of Karpinski Foundation scholarship holders.
